The Plurithèque is the multifaceted library of the African Pluriversity of Knowledge: a knowledge-sharing infrastructure that spans the emerging archipelago of the PAS and connects its various spaces. In its broadest sense, it is a shared resource for documentation, preservation and archiving — a space for encounter, hospitality, learning, creation and production. Here, diverse forms of knowledge transmission coexist without hierarchy: orality, writing and drawing, gesture, ritual and experimentation, languages, and artistic languages.
This page serves as its digital entry point: an open, collaborative platform that makes visible and accessible some of the content we produce, co-create and translate, as well as that which we engage with alongside a wider ecosystem. It brings together several sub-spaces, each with its own distinct character. Moya Station, our audio channel and podcast, will, from autumn 2026, feature the voices of our researchers, guests and fieldworkers, with a particular focus on African oral traditions and the languages that carry them. Mabousso Station is our musical curatorial space: here, we conceive of music as a space for connection, sensibility and memory, as a form in its own right for the production and transmission of knowledge, and each playlist constitutes an editorial feature. ‘Résonances’ brings together the readings we select from the media and publishing platforms that engage with our projects. ‘Publications’ brings together the papers, articles and keynote speeches by our researchers and guests, available freely and at no cost; ‘Bibliographies’ offers references to books that engage with our thinking. These sub-spaces are not silos: they communicate with one another, and the digital Plurithèque is designed to ensure that these interactions are transparent and fruitful.
Like the entire initiative, it is set to evolve. As our fields of research, creation and dissemination expand, new formats will be incorporated. The Plurithèque supports the Pluriversity’s mission: as a repository, a channel for dissemination, and a public record of what we consider important to preserve collectively and share.
