This page brings together articles published in media outlets that we engage with at the African Pluriversity of Knowledge and which we regard as spaces for resonance and conversation: they echo our areas of reflection and application – the extractivism of knowledge, epistemic (in)justice, the ecology of knowledge and all living things, the humanities, African genealogies of critique, decolonial feminisms, cosmopolitics of hospitality and relationship, Pan-African legacies and contemporary extensions … -; they are not merely showcases for these ideas, but living spaces where thought is discussed, translated and tested, and their very presence confirms that we are building from an archipelago.
Here, we bring together, without any hierarchy, journalistic articles and investigations, interviews and correspondence, essays and exchanges of ideas, and scientific articles, whether they appear in independent media or on open-access academic publishing platforms; because we believe that these modes of expression complement rather than compete with one another. By not presenting each text individually, we adopt a role of guided curation, redirecting without supplanting those who have undertaken the initial work of publication — and, through this gesture, supporting the often fragile editorial ecosystem that enables pluralistic critical thought from and with Africa.
This selection is a living one; it remains partial and grows as we read on.
